I'm particularly fond of these earrings...in fact, I might make a matching pendant. Or a pair for myself. ;D I think they're very cute but still kinda punkish and out there. I actually had no idea what I was doing when I started this. I was just experimenting with new materials, and I'm happy with this outcome. I'll be a little sad to see these go when they sell though. lol
I was using resin for the first time about a month ago, and I made a ton of resin pendants (which I haven't yet listed), and I finally decided to add one to Esty. You see, I wanted to wait until I got ball chains to put them on, but all of the ball chains I've ever bought discolor too quickly. Anyway, here's what I added:
I love how deceiving this pendant is. It looks like a dark blue when lying down, but hold it up to the light and it looks so bright like the ocean. Instead of using resin dye like a sane person would, I used food dye. When you put food dye in resin, it has a different effect. The dye stays in a round form, but then some of the color seeps out...it's hard to describe. I have another pendant that shows it better that I might upload a picture of. This one I stirred so it's not a good example. I think I'm starting to ramble, so I'll shut up about the pendant now. XD
So now I think I'll get back to watching TV...so far I've watched Happy Feet and Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle. I think I'm gonna watch Rocky Horror Picture Show now. :) And on that note...
